Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm Hosting Family Friendly, Education Programs

For fun, educational programs the entire family can enjoy, the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm has added new events to its August itinerary. Costs and registration links are listed below.

The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm presents:

Event: Fairies & Dragons on the Farm
Dates: Wednesday, August 24
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Location: Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, 1005 Van Hoosen Rd.
Cost: $10 Museum Member; $15 Non-Member Registration required. Ages 2+ require a ticket. No ticket required for accompanying adults.

Join us as we look for fairies, dragons, and gnomes all around the Children’s Garden at the Rochester Hills Museum. Complete all the activity stations to earn your own pair of wings! These whimsical creatures only stop by once a year, so don't miss them!

Rochester’s history is over 200 years if we review the European white settlers – but thousands of years old if we study the Native Americans. Visit some fascinating locations throughout town that make you burst with pride for our community's colorful past! We will check out a cemetery, schools, sports fields, businesses, and the stories that make this our town! *Meet at Rotary Gateway Park, near west side parking lot of the Rochester Hills Public Library.

Platted in 1826, this land embraces the souls of settlers! Here you will find gravestones for our community’s earliest leaders, soldiers, poets, and philanthropists. We will examine the beautiful artwork of headstones and divulge the forgotten lives and stories of the past.*Meet at the Billy Yank Civil War Statue. The cemetery is bounded by 1st and 3rd street, at 200 Wilcox St.

The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features the stories, people, and events that has made our community an exceptional place to call home for 200 years. We can host weddings, anniversaries, graduation parties, and more!
