Pontiac Historic Designation Sign Unveiling in GM District; Public Invited

(Pontiac, MI-) The community is invited to the unveiling of historic signage at Pontiac’s GM Modern Housing Neighborhood on October 22 at 10am. Local dignitaries and leaders will be present to celebrate GM Modern Housing Neighborhood Association’s commitment to revitalizing and restoring the dignitary of the 100 year-old historic enclave.

GM Modern Housing Neighborhood Association is committed to revitalizing and restoring the dignity of the 100-year-old historic enclave known as GM Modern Housing by way of improving its “livability and walkability”.

GM Modern Housing Neighborhood Association is a nonprofit that was founded in 2018 to the combat blight, and deterioration of public parks, streets, sidewalks, and other public areas in order to preserve, revitalize and improve the wellbeing, livability, walkability and vitality of GM Modern Housing community.

Local leaders gather on October 22 to celebrate the work that has been done while commemorating GM Modern Housing community with a 100 year historic plaque dedicated to the community.

Sign unveiling will be held at 10am followed by donuts, cider and pumpkin painting for the community at 11am inside of Center for Success.
