ROCHESTER HILLS, MICH – We’re proud to share that Neighborhood House is once again offering our annual Holiday Giving Tree Program, helping to bring joy to our neighbors facing financial hardship this holiday season.

Through our Holiday Giving Tree Program, we typically provide gifts to more than 400 local children from low-income families in Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Oakland Township and Addison Township. With the current economic climate, we expect to see the same number of children, if not more, participating this year.

“We’re all experiencing the impact of inflation. Our clients who are already struggling to make ends meet are hit especially hard,” says Michael Dreon, executive director. “With the help from our community, we’re able to ease the burden for families and help bring some joy into struggling homes.”

Through our program, we aim to provide each child with:

· - Two gifts or gift cards ($25 price range)

· - A pajama set

· - A hoodie or sweatshirt

· - A winter hat, gloves/mittens

· - One book

· - A family board game

The success of our program is dependent on the support of our community and individual donors. Getting involved is simple:

· - Sign up here to purchase gifts

· - Or shop our Amazon Wish list

All gifts are due to the following locations by Monday, Dec. 5:

· - Neighborhood House main office: 1720 South Livernois Rd.

· - Retro Fitness: 637 North Main St.

· - Rochester Hills Public Library: 500 Olde Town Rd.

· - Auburn Hills City Manager’s Office: 1827 North Squirrel Rd.

· - Oakland Township Hall: 4393 Collins Rd.

In addition to the gifts, Neighborhood House distributes holiday food baskets to roughly 400 families in need during the holiday season. This is made possible by donations from our local churches and organizations.

Questions? Contact Holiday Giving Tree coordinator, Cheryl Duggan, at events@ranh.org or 248-651-5836 ext. 36. If your organization is interested in participating at a corporate level, please let Cheryl know.
