Rochester, MI Bestselling 10-Year-Old Author Launches New Book for Reading Month

Rochester, MI—When many young children visit the dentist for the first time, they don’t know what to expect. It’s a new environment with various kinds of noises and sounds. When a stranger wants them to open their mouth for close to an hour, many children can get scared or nervous. But it doesn’t have to be that way. In the second literary masterpiece of The Nyla Chronicles series, Nyla’s First Visit to the Dentist, children get a front row seat to Nyla’s first visit to the pediatric dentistry. Even though Nyla is there because she’s recently lost a tooth after eating an apple at lunchtime, she soon learns that the pediatric dentistry is just like another playground—with more toys and many games of show-and-tell! Nyla, who is a fifth grader at Hugger Elementary in Rochester, MI, was fortunate in 2022 to have her first book, Nyla’s First Day of Kindergarten, distributed at all 256 Meijer stores across the five-state region. When she’s not writing or reading, she loves riding her hoverboard, roller skating and playing with friends outdoors.
