Gather ‘round for intergenerational story time collaboration with The Reserve at Red Run and the Madison Heights Public Library
(Madison Heights, MI-) All ages are welcome to attend an intergenerational story time collaboration The Reserve at Red Run with Madison Heights Public Library.
Reading at The Reserve, featuring a craft and a story with special guest readers, happens every other Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at The Reserve, 30031 Dequindre Road in Madison Heights.
This collaboration launched in March, with residents from The Reserve and local families joining together for the story time. Librarians had previously reached out The Reserve for a concert series in February and found its library space to be very welcoming – and a great place for story time with the entire community.
“We are very excited to be able to have in-person story times at The Reserve while our library is undergoing renovation. Especially during the months when weather is so unpredictable its important for people of all ages, especially those caring for young children, to get out for activities,” said Library Coordinator Heather Hames. “Our library was a main place that families could come when it was too cold to go to the park, so it is an important need for our library to meet in the community and The Reserve stepped up to offer their space making it an incredible experience for the children, their families and the residents at The Reserve.”
