(Macomb Twp, MICH-) The community is invited to the unveiling and dedication of a Veteran’s Tribute Wall on May 19 at 2pm at Oakleigh of Macomb. Michigan State Representative Joseph Aragona and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 154 will be present at the unveiling honoring the brave men and women who have served their country and made tremendous sacrifices to defend American's freedom.
The Veteran's Wall is a testament to the courage and dedication of this nation’s veterans. The wall serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by these individuals and will serve as a symbol of our nation’s gratitude.
Vietnam Veteran’s Chapter 154 members will presents medals to veteran residents at Oakleigh of Macomb as well as perform a Flag Presentation Honor Guard Ceremony. Guests will also hear remarks from Representative Aragona on behalf of the State of Michigan thanking veterans present and honoring the lives of those lost in service.
The unveiling ceremony will take place on May 19 and will be followed by appetizers and music to celebrate the service and sacrifice of our military personnel. “We are thrilled to be able to honor our nation’s veterans with this beautiful permanent display at Oakleigh,” said Kelly Brent, Executive Director of Oakleigh of Macomb. “Currently, 19 veterans live at Oakleigh of Macomb and we are thrilled to be able to create this legacy for them and for the rest of our local community to come and pay tribute.”
