  • Summer Carillon Concert Series, 6pm. Head to the Elliott Tower on the campus of Oakland University on August 4 and 11 for free concerts! Bring family, friends, a chair or blanket, and a picnic to enjoy.
  • Movies in the Moonlight, Saturday, August 5. Bring your chairs and blankets to the corner of East Third and Water Streets in Rochester for a screening of “Moana” under the stars.   • Donut Be Afraid of Bugs, Tuesday, August 8 and Tuesday, August, 22, 11 am and 6 pm. Great for families! Nadia The Bug Lady will bring all sorts of bugs and provide an educational session on why bugs are important in our ecosystem. The Little Donut Factory will be selling refreshments.   • Rochester Community Band Free Outdoor Concert, Tuesday, August 8, 7pm. Enjoy a free concert on the lawn of St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church. The ultra-talented volunteer band of 80 members will entertain you all evening long! Bring a blanket or chair to sit. Rain date is Wednesday, August 9.
  • Summer Sensation Concert Series, Thursday, August 10 and Thursday, August 24, 6:30-8:30 pm. Bring a chair or blanket to Boulan Park and enjoy live music and a food truck onsite.   • Free Third Thursday, August, 17. Explore the Cranbrook Art Museum and Cranbrook Institute of Science free of charge on the third Thursday of the month. The art museum will be open 11 am to 8 pm, and the science museum open 5-8 pm. There will be plenty of fun free activities, including a performance by the pool and chance to touch fossils.
