Just Between Friends (JBF), a leading consignment sale event across the country, is thrilled to announce its second Macomb/Rochester sale this spring, taking place from April 17-21. This unique shopping experience not only offers families a budget-friendly way to shop for children’s clothing, baby gear, and teen essentials but also presents an invaluable opportunity for families to declutter responsibly.

Molly Catalina, owner of JBF Rochester/Macomb and lifelong Michigan resident, discovered JBF sales in Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor when her children were younger and quickly realized how much of her family’s clothing budget was saved every time she purchased clothing and items from these sale events.

“When you arrive for the JBF shopping weekend, Elite Indoor Sports is transformed into a department store with sizes and styles all easily marked to make shopping easy.”

JBF April sale features clothing for children ages infant to juniors with many brand names and popular items. In addition, shoppers will find strollers, baby gear as well as accessories for children and teens.

She encourages families to embrace second-hand shopping as a dual benefit: financial savings and environmental preservation. Her enthusiasm for thrift shopping and facilitating deals that benefit both the environment and consumers’ wallets prompted her to launch the local sales in 2023.

“Buying second-hand isn’t just about saving money; it’s about saying ‘yes’ to more sustainable choices and making a positive impact on our planet,” Catalina asserts. “The added benefit is that hundreds of families are also finding a really simple way to clean out their closets and earn money through these events.”

The upcoming sale, April 17-21, provides several ways to get involved. Individuals can sign up to sell, making a minimum of 60% of every item they list through the JBF platform. Once priced and ready for sale, sellers simply drop off items on April 15 or 16 and JBF does the rest.

With an interactive sales portal, sellers can track their sales and commissions in real time throughout the week. JBF also offers Valet Consignment service in which sellers drop their items up to two weeks prior to the sale to have a JBF team member price and prepare them for sale. Valet sellers make 45% of each sale while their ‘tagger’ makes an additional 25% of each item.

“Between the sales platform and the many ways to participate, this really is an one-of-a-kind experience for both people looking to sell and those wanting to shop,” said Catalina.

JBF Rochester Macomb is currently accepting additional consigners. Shopping tickets for the April 17-21 event is available online for free to the public or $3 at the door.

Pre-Sale Day opens at 5:30pm on April 17 and is exclusively open to first-time parents or grandparents, or by registering for a ticket online.
