Huizenga Fund Now Accepting Online Grant Applications

First Congregational Church’s endowed fund offering grants to local nonprofits

Rochester, Michigan, February 20, 2025 – The Huizenga Fund, an endowed fund of First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ in Rochester, is now accepting grant applications for its latest funding cycle. The fund provides financial support to project initiatives that align with the Huizenga Fund’s mission which focuses on community service programs for the Greater Rochester service area. Programs include those providing food and shelter, healthcare and well-being, jobs, recreation, community activities, and home and neighborhood improvements. The application deadline is March 31, 2025.

Eligible organizations are encouraged to apply for funding to help advance programs that make a meaningful impact in the greater Rochester community. The application process has been streamlined with an online submission system, making it easier for applicants to access funding opportunities.

Key Dates and Application information:

  • Application period: Now – March 31, 2025.
  • Eligibility – 501(c)(3) registered nonprofits serving Greater Rochester residents in the zip codes of 48306, 48307, 48308 and 48363.
