The concerts will feature favorite songs from Broadway shows including Phantom of the Opera, Titanic, Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story and more.

The Rochester Community Chorus seeks to enrich the cultural life of the community by providing its singers with opportunities to perform high quality choral music under professional direction and by enhancing the lives of all through the resonant power of harmony and word. Approximately 40 singers make up the Chorus.

Daniel Greig is the Director of the Rochester Community Chorus, a post he has held since 2012. In addition to directing the Rochester Community Chorus, Daniel has also served as Director of Music Ministry at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Community since 2005. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Music at University of Detroit Mercy, and Madonna University

The Chorus is accompanied by Chancellor Wyman, who has extensive educational training in music and piano performance. He also currently works part-time as a tenor section leader and accompanist at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pontiac.

Rochester Community Chorus welcomes new singers from Rochester and surrounding communities in September and January to join the fun. The chorus has performed a wide variety of literature including sacred and secular large-scale works such as Carmina Burana, various Requiems, masses, pops concerts, show tunes, and multicultural music. The chorus is open to all who enjoy singing at any skill level.

Beacon is a home for those who are looking to develop, explore and deepen their faith and spirituality among a group of likeminded people. We are truly a no-judgment zone, welcoming all seekers with equal zest. We love good conversation and hope you will stay after service for coffee hour so we can get a chance to know you better (and tell you a little bit about us). Whether you are new to Unitarian Universalism or not, we want your experience here with us to be warm and welcoming. Now, more than ever, we need liberal faith traditions, like ours, to step up and raise our voices for justice, equity and compassion both here in metro Detroit and around the World.
