Clawson, MI — Three Cats Restaurant at Leon and Lulu is hosting a Main Street Oakland County holiday kick-off event on Nov. 1, to announce the launch of an annual shopping sweepstakes. 

The Shop Small event will mark the return of the Local Gems Shopping Sweepstakes, which encourages residents to support Oakland County small businesses this holiday season. 

Starting Nov. 1, shoppers can submit selfies taken at county small businesses they consider “Local Gems.” Shoppers can enter multiple businesses to increase their odds of winning prizes ranging from $250 to $1,000.

The event will be a combination of a reception and a Facebook Live broadcast featuring Oakland County Executive David Coulter and local business leaders.

Where: Three Cats Restaurant, 116 W. 14 Mile Road, Clawson, Michigan

When: Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. 

Registration: Free advance registration required by Friday, Oct. 18

Local Gems Sweepstakes posters and cards will be available for small business owners wanting to participate in the sweepstakes, which runs Nov. 1-30. 

Coffee and pastries will also be provided by Three Cats Restaurant, located inside the historic Clawson Theatre next door to Leon and Lulu.
