The Rainbow Connection, Michigan's wish-making organization supporting children battling life-threatening illnesses, is hosting its "Celebration of Dreams" event Nov. 24.

Ingrid Todt, The Rainbow Connection executive director, said the event is a celebration of dreams that the organization has been able to make come true for brave Michigan children with life-threatening illnesses.

“We hope you will come, be inspired and help us celebrate the hope and support Rainbow Connection provides throughout the year," said Todt.

The casual holiday gathering is The Rainbow Connection's kick-off to the holiday season featuring fun entertainment, holiday raffles, and its very popular "Gifts Galore" silent auction. Built with over 120 items, this auction is aimed at helping attendees find the perfect item for everyone on their gift list.

"There is sure to be something you need to check off your holiday shopping list in this silent auction," said Todt.

In addition to the auction, a dinner will be served while attendees watch wish children strut down the runway in the latest holiday fashion as they hear about their inspiring stories.

About The Rainbow Connection

The Rainbow Connection (TRC) was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 1985. Our mission is to grant wishes to Michigan children battling life-threatening illnesses.

A wish helps to strengthen and empower children in battling their illness by enriching the human experience with hope, anticipation, and joy. A wish allows a child the ability to look past their condition and gives precious time with family to create memories they can all treasure. Since 1985, they have granted an average of 150 wishes each year and over 4300 wishes since their inception.

Over 86% of every dollar donated goes directly to programs and services for children with life-threatening illnesses.
